About Brian

From a young age, Brian Madden had a love of ships and the sea, which was established when his grandfather took him to the ship yard in the North East of England.

Brian’s job as a maintenance engineer on the famous Clyde shipyards meant he had the perfect scenery for which to develop his painting skills. After leaving the Clyde shipyards in 1969, Brian continued his love of sea and ships by joining a tug fleet called Steele and Bennie.
